Families of all ages are invited to join us for a FREE fun bike ride around the Elmhurst Cycling Classic course. Racers, bring your family! Maybe decorate yourself or your bike! Regardless, you'll be cheered on by the crowds as you ride some laps around Elmhurst University!
The Elmhurst Park District Family Fun Ride starts immediately after the Elmhurst Twilight Mile Races!
Registration opens may 1 at courts plus
Pre-Registered families will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket featuring an awesome assortment of Kilwin's chocolates, a Trek bicycle pump, coupons to Rough Edges Confectionery, Phase Three and more!
Participation is FREE, but ALL riders need to sign a waiver.
Download waivers here. Drop them off at Courts Plus prior to June 4th, 2025.
Courts Plus - 186 S. West Avenue, Elmhurst
ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR A HELMET AT THIS EVENT! Each participant must have registered and signed the waiver. No one without a waiver can participate, and helmets are mandatory per USA Cycling guidelines.
- Park in the Elmhurst University Alexander lot on the north side of the course.
- Day-of registration 3 pm to 6 pm at the Elmhurst Park District tent near the Wilder Mansion.
- Staging for the family fun ride is in the cul-de-sac in front of the EPD Rec Building by 6:45 pm.
- DO NOT ENTER THE COURSE WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE VOLUNTEERS.
Learn more about safe and accessible biking, walking, running, and mobility for all. The Elmhurst Walk & Rollers Working Group will offer helmet and safety checks at check in! Check tire pressure, make sure handlebars, pedals and seat posts are not loose, oil the chain and WEAR YOUR HELMET!
